DARPG Organizes 40th National Good Governance Webinar on Scaling 'Project Paath'

The 'Project Paath' initiative represents a paradigm shift in district-level educational administration by moving away from generic policy implementation toward evidence-based pedagogical support. By institutionalizing the role of the District Primary Education Officer and creating a feedback loop between classroom performance and administrative intervention, the project addresses the 'last-mile' delivery challenges in primary education. The integration of digital tools like the DIKSHA platform ensures that localized innovations can be scaled and standardized across diverse geographies. Operationally, the project relies on a multi-stakeholder framework involving the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, GCERT, and district-level administrative machinery. The transition from FLN to Grade-Appropriate Learning (GAL) highlights the importance of longitudinal tracking of student progress. By utilizing assessment ladders, the administration can identify specific learning deficits, allowing for targeted teacher training and resource allocation, which is a critical departure from traditional, uniform teaching methodologies. Strategically, this webinar series underscores the government's commitment to 'Minimum Government, Maximum Governance' by fostering a culture of peer-learning among civil servants. The replicability of such models is essential for achieving the targets of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
